York April 25 Judge Wanner holds county commissioners cannot reassess state taxes or correct an assessment after the year ends in the Schmuck case. Schmuck of Hanover sought $48,000 in taxes on personal property not reported since 1846. Four miners were killed and 100 escaped when an Ellsworth Pa mine explosion occurred.
