Adams County baseball league adopts new umpire system
At a Wednesday meeting in Gettysburg the Adams county baseball league approved rosters and schedule, posted forfeits, and arranged a dedicated umpire appointment system. William Stong was elected vice president with George Burgner presiding in President George Miller’s absence. Applicants for umpire roles were invited by letter or in person at the April 29 meeting. Clubs may join other leagues if not conflicting with the county schedule.

Talks on bank law relations keynote at Adams County meeting
Judge W C Sheely was principal guest speaker at the Adams County bankers association April gathering in Bendersville hall. Forty eight attended as banks from most members were represented and a York county delegation joined. The talk covered judgments mortgages title searches and relations between banks and their legal counsel. Robert B Martin chaired the session and noted absences from Abbottstown East Berlin and New Oxford banks.

Car Crash Damages York Woman's Vehicle West of New Oxford
A car driven by Mrs. C. A. Gross of York skidded on a rain soaked Lincoln Highway six miles west of New Oxford Sunday around 5 30 PM and overturned without injuring the driver or the other occupant. The damage was about 200 dollars and the car was towed to a Gettysburg garage near Guldens station.

Mrs J A Stallsmith of Gettysburg sustained head and left hand lacerations after a fall in the bathroom at her residence Friday evening. She was admitted for treatment at Annie M. Warner hospital.
