N Oxford Boys Win Work Contests At Gettysburg High
Thirty two vocational agriculture students from New Oxford Biglerville and East Berlin competed in feed identification and shop work contests at Gettysburg High School under county adviser R C Lighter. Robert Stitt Arendtsville won top shop work with George Coleman and Wayne Shields second and third, while Stitt led in feed identification with 84 correct of 100. Final standings list Stitt Coleman Shields Ford Kane Witherow Redding and Dubbs among top scorers as series of contests begins to pick state team for Future Farmers of America week at State College in June.

Head On Collision Near York Springs
A panel truck driven by W. C. Weaner of Aspers R D and a sedan driven by Glenn Wenders of York Springs R D collided head on Wednesday afternoon about 3 15 on the Idaville road one mile west of York Springs on a sharp curve. Neither vehicle could move after the crash and both were towed to garages.

Gettysburg Man Fined $2.50 in Disorderly Conduct Case
Fred Trimmer of Gettysburg pleaded guilty to a disorderly conduct charge before Justice John H. Baschore. He received a $2.50 fine and was ordered to pay costs. Trimmer is under bond for August court on desertion and non-support charges brought by his wife Evelyn Trimmer.

Miller pleads guilty in York County DUI case
Harry M. Miller of McSherrystown entered a guilty plea in York county court on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. He was sentenced to sixty days in jail and ordered to pay the costs of prosecution after being arrested by Hanover police earlier.
