Sportsmen Weigh 10 Acre Site For Clubhouse and Trap Range

Emory M. Dougherty outlined a proposal for the Adams County Fish and Game Association to buy a 10 acre section of the Shearer estate near Gettysburg for a clubhouse and trap shooting area. The site along a hard surfaced road would cost about $8000 with access to water and electricity. The group also reported 2,000 trout released and a general fund balance of $165.54 with a recent show earning $114.65, while membership neared 369.

Gettysburg Man Held Over Misstated License Appeal

Lawrence Myers of Gettysburg, 29, is held on $300 bail after pleading guilty to mis stating facts on a learner permit application. State motor police Corporal J G Warren filed the charge in Adams County before Justice John H Basehore. Myers claimed his license was never suspended or revoked and he had no motor code convictions in this state.

Two Injured In $650 Crash On Lincoln Highway

Two people were injured and two cars damaged in a collision on the Lincoln highway in Abbottstown near the square Friday at about 4 30 p m. Arthur W Clements of Canonsburg and Feeser of Abbottstown were involved. Clements suffered a knee laceration while his sister in law Mrs D M Lester suffered knee cuts and chest and forehead bruises. Feeser escaped injury. Damages were about 275 to the Feeser car and 375 to the Clements car.
