The income tax season opens with Albuquerque offices distributing personal return forms 1040 and 1040A for 1919. Filing is due by March 15 with penalties for delay. Returns require accurate reporting of net income, including spouse and children’s income, and payment of taxes due with the return.
The Republican State Central Committee will convene in the Supreme Court Chamber at the Capitol to select the place, set the time, and decide the number of delegates for each county for the state convention to choose delegates and alternates for the National Republican Convention in Chicago. New Mexico is entitled to six delegates and six alternates.
The State Auditor distributed portions of the eighth fiscal year's appropriations to all state institutions and related funds. The weekly distribution totaled 22 and 4-10 percent of the appropriations, following an earlier 10 percent disbursement about three weeks prior.
