Berrendo Irrigated Farms Sold in Receiver’s Sale Roswell
Roswell New Mexico April 2 The unsold portions of the Berrendo Irrigated Farms company tract were disposed of today as receiver’s sale E. Fish trustee for the bondholders offered 220000 and the bid was accepted by the special master subject to courthouse confirmation. About 9000 acres involved most not cultivated. The portion sold earlier is now a thriving farming community in Roswell country. The 4000 acres not included remains orchard planted with several hundred acres to enter hearing this spring. Jonathan and Winesap dominate varieties and the tract is expected to excel in fruit growing in Pecos valley. The Berrendo hosts fine dairy stock including A. D. Crile’s registered Holsteins noted at state expositions and fairs. Medium Gray boast strong Jersey herd with ribbons at fairs in Albuquerque and elsewhere.
