Delegate quits: Richard Begay resigns from Navajo board post
Navajo Nation Council Delegate Richard Begay Jr. resigned Thursday in an ethics agreement with the Ethics and Rules Committee over violations while a NTUA board member. The pact, signed Aug. 25 and approved Thursday, imposes a five year ban from tribal office, requires repayment of a total 4,000 in improper charges, and waives appeals. Begay faced prior ethics complaints about a chapter bathroom project and improper use of NTUA credit cards for travel and entertainment.
