In Ramah Navajo Nation two women victims of hantavirus spurred a CDC backed clean up to curb deer mice and protect families. Chapter members trained to seal homes and trap rodents have reduced new cases locally. The program costs about 500 per home with a 70000 grant aiding the effort. The effort may become a reservation wide service.
