He is survived by his mother Mrs Yoe Betise his stepfather Denet Chille five daughters three of whom are married and a brother Wilfred Charley all of Chinle. Local arrangements were handled by Rellle Mortuary.

He represented Manuelito election community comprising Manuelito, Rock Springs and Tsayatoh with headquarters at Crownpoint and was active in the school enrollment drive. He did not seek re-election. three candidates, Herbert Morgan, Joe Nelson, and Willis H. Peter BON, are running. Service is 1 p.m. Monday at Rollie Mortuary with burial in Fort Defiance Cemetery, Arizona.
