Wingate students shiver in October heat outage at Fort Wingate
Fort Wingate High School faced a water and heat outage after an October snow. Students left at 1 pm as four teens reported dizziness and dehydration from lack of water and heat. Snowy crash near Vanderwagen injures two drivers
Friday afternoon in New Mexico two drivers were injured in a head on collision on Route 602 near Vanderwagen. Ray Francisco of Vanderwagon drove north in the southbound lane attempting to pass. Felix Coriz of Albuquerque suffered serious injuries and Charlene Quale of Zuni, a passenger, was trapped. Fire crews used Jaws of Life as snow reduced visibility and delayed helicopter airlift.
