Navajo Joint Use housing plan deferred by council
By JOHN ORR WINDOW-ROCK Ariz The Advisory Committee of the Navajo Tribal Council decided Tuesday not to jeopardize life estates in the Navajo Hopi Joint Use Area by authorizing residential housing in Jeddito Teesto and White Cone chapters. The committee sent the problem back to the chapters and will reassess in late November after considering withdrawing 240 acres Jeddito 240 acres Teesto and 640 acres White Cone for housing and industrial development.
