Crime Lab Will Check Death In Auto Fire
Gallup police and New Mexico State Crime Lab investigate the death of 17 year old Raymond Talamante found in a car fire near Coal and Aztec avenues. Investigators will test the interior and await the pathologist report to determine if the death was accidental. Police also seek a red and white van in a hit and run near Lincoln Elementary School. A separate two car crash damaged a police car and seven people were arrested with 64 taken into protective custody since Monday.

AZTEC AP The Bloomfield bus driver Louise Nez 31 pleaded guilty to careless driving after a bus carrying 43 students from Bloomfield to the Navajo Reservation overturned on New Mexico 44 on Oct 8. Nez was fined 25 plus 10 court costs. 16 passengers and the driver were hospitalized and later released. The southbound bus, with capacity of 60, traveled down an embankment on its regular Bloomfield to Chaco Canyon route.
