Robbery at Chinle Thriftway Ends Without Cash Taken
A Chinle Arizona Thriftway No 267 robbery ended with no cash loss after clerk Rose Nelson was threatened with a knife and cut her hand while defending the counter. Clerks Davis and Blackwater and a pepper spray tactic helped deter the suspect who fled in a waiting vehicle. Police described the suspect as a dark complexioned heavy-set man, 5 foot 5 to 5 foot 6, wearing a gray blue beanie and black hooded jacket with blue shorts. Nelson received treatment and was released.
