Heroic father dies trying to save boy from fire
In WINDOW ROCK Navajo Nation a 5-year-old boy perished in a mobile home fire Tuesday night. Anderson Brown Sr., 30, of Remnant Mesa Road, suffered smoke inhalation and burns as he entered the burning home after 9:30 pm to rescue his sleeping son. He tried with an ax to breach walls but flames cut him off, the Navajo police report said. The home lacked running water and housed up to 10 people. a portable gas heater sparked the deadly blaze.
