The 21 year old University of Houston music major has competed in Miss Teen America 1963 Miss America 1964 and Miss USA Universe 1965 events representing New Mexico and Arizona. Her mother Mrs George Nelson says Jane plans an entertainment career after college.

Funeral services for Lois Wine 48 who died Saturday at St Marys Hospital were held Tuesday at 2 p m in Route Mor tuary with burial in Superior Wise. Born in Superior she moved to Gallup four years ago and taught at Gallup High School. She lived at 421 Zecca Drive and is survived by husband Maynard two daughters Laura Jean and Claudia both of Gallup and her mother Mrs John Sanders of Superior.

Driver Sought in Gallup Motorcycle Fatality on SR 68
New Mexico State Police continue to search for the driver of a 1959 car that struck and killed Jesse Rodney Wilson, 25, of Gallup, as he unloaded a motorcycle near the U.S. 666 SR 68 junction. Wilson died at the scene. witnesses described the car fleeing. An inquest was scheduled and a separate crash near the same intersection injured Dollie Murphy, 32, of Window Rock, with her car rolling three times after she fell asleep at the wheel.

Services for William Charles Easley 55 died Sunday at his home in Gallup will be held tonight in Strong Thorne Mortuary Albuquerque with burial in Sunset Cemetery. He moved from Maramec Oklahoma to Gallup in 1933 then to Albuquerque in 1943 returning in 1964 as a bookkeeper for Rocco Electric and Rocco Construction. He is survived by his wife Mary two sons a daughter and eight grandchildren plus a father a brother and two sisters.

Fire damages seat of pickup on South Ninth Street
Gallup fire crews responded to a weekend pickup fire at 800 South Ninth Street. The unattended vehicle was found around 7 am Saturday with the rear wheels over the Rio Puerco bank and the front seat burning. Firemen believe a cigarette caused the blaze and the driver has not been located.

Two Deaths Investigated At Local Hospitals
Police investigated two unexplained deaths on Sunday. William C. Easley, 56, was found dead in his bed by wife Mary Easley of 705 Aztec, while Theodore Baker, 62, was found choking in a bathroom by his wife Donna Baker of Sparta, both pronounced dead on arrival at St. Marys Hospital. Rolls Rollie Mortuary received the bodies. Weekend thefts included 69 pieces of lumber worth 391 dollars from a Gulf Station site on U S 66 East. David Wojahn reported a cut window screen at El Rancho with nothing missing.
