Demonstration Ends in Double Tragedy Near Vanderwagen
Gallup area gun safety demonstration ends with the accidental death of Jon Chee, 21, and Jairus Francisco, 27, after a Glock discharged during a live demonstration. Sheriff Sgt. Eric Jim reported responders found the two victims in a front yard west of Cousins Trading Post around 11:30 p.m. Donna Chee, 59, cried at the scene as neighbors described a 15 year old observer noting Chee demonstrated the trigger safety to Francisco before the fatal shot occurred.
