Voter registration and absentee voting rise in general election
GRANTS-Cibola County reports 100 absentee ballot requests and about 10 residents registering weekly for the November 2 general election. As of Thursday, 13,738 voters are registered. Democrats total 9,174, Republicans 2,698, declined to state 1,521, and 345 others. Absentee voting starts October 5 in Cibola and McKinley counties with in person and mail options. Early voting begins October 16 at four sites in Cibola County and several alternative sites with hours through mid to late October. McKinley County also lists early voting locations and dates.

Navajo Officer Charged During DWI Task Force Patrol
