Forensic pathologist Dr John Burns testified the two men Dusty Rye and Alec Armijo were shot in the head at close range and their bodies were burned.

Nicholas Barbone, 29, of Pohajillee New Mexico, was identified as the man found along Interstate 40 near mile marker 98 Thursday morning. Police say he may have been struck by a passing vehicle between Wednesday and Thursday at about 12:30 a.m. A motorist discovered the body around 8:30 a.m. and notified authorities.
