Fatal Gallup crash after high speed pursuit
Passengers in Johnny Caballero’s pickup pleaded for him to stop on March 13 as he sped through Gallup with headlights off. He ran a red light at Boardman, struck Ray Hobb’s vehicle, killing him, his wife, and an 8 month old. Police say Caballero did not brake during the chase.

27 illegals nabbed in two separate stops near Gallup
Police stopped two old vans near the 26 mile marker on Interstate 40. A blue 1984 Ford van carried 13 people from Phoenix to an unknown Colorado city, while a brown 1983 Chevrolet van held 14 passengers from Phoenix to Albuquerque. Suspects were held for the Immigration and Naturalization Service.
