Gallup high school girls rout La Cueva 59 to 36 to reach the New Mexico Class AAAA state championship game. Lawsuit alleges CSC mismanaged McKinley jail risks
In Gallup a federal suit accuses Correctional Services Corp of firing 15 former employees for speaking out about unsafe conditions at the McKinley County Adult Detention Center. Plaintiffs claim lax security and inadequate training endangered inmates and staff, including kitchen violence risks and untrained guards.
Former CSC Workers Seek 36 Million in Lawsuit
Fifteen former employees of the CSC managed McKinley County Detention Center, Gallup, filed in U.S. district court in January seeking more than 36 million dollars for wrongful termination. They allege they were fired for reporting problems and seeking changes, were not allowed to defend themselves, and seek general and punitive damages plus lost wages and attorneys fees. Several had prior suits against CSC, with attorney William Stripp filing all twelve cases in McKinley County district court.
