Cowboys heat up for two big rodeos during Window Rock Fourth of July weekend. The 10th annual rodeo Classic Indians event runs July 3 to 6 with 7 p.m. performances and 8 a.m. slack. the Triquoise Classic spans July 4 to 6 with a 7 p.m. start on July 7. Western Bureau reports Tuba City police will boost traffic enforcement this summer focusing on safety belt use, child restraints, non licensed drivers, and impaired driving. Last Tuesday the force on Main Street Spur and Edgewater Drive issued 84 citations in 16 hours, including 664 belt violations 13 unlicensed drivers 3 child restraints and 6 unlicensed juvenile drivers 160 contacts. Hale urges Navajo families to accept Accommodation terms

Molila arrested on child abuse charges in Gallup jail
A former Fence Lake man Jose Reyes Molina, 29, who missed a January 1995 trial for child rape, was arrested in Zapata Texas and brought to Gallup Jail on a failure to appear warrant. Prosecutor Julian intends to retry with a 12 year old victim, faces two counts of first degree criminal sexual penetration and a fourth degree failure to appear. If convicted, he could face up to 37 1/2 years in prison. Molina lived in Fence Lake with his girlfriend and fled possibly to Mexico. a judge had released him on no bond after initial arrest. Witnesses and the victim's family are to be interviewed before any new trial. The Zapata County Sheriff's Office provided details of the Texas arrest. Page 2.
