Decision due on bid to sell tax credits
Eastern Bureau Santa Fe The Public Service Commission will decide this afternoon on Public Service Co of New Mexico plans to sell tax credits to another company. An emergency meeting is set for 3 30 p m in Santa Fe to vote after hearings held Thursday and Friday. PNM says the deal would bring about 60 million dollars to the company and more than 16 million to ratepayers over four years. The credits relate to unit 4 of the San Juan Generating Station near Farmington. Sales of tax credits between firms are permitted under the 1981 Economic Recovery Tax Act.

Nine injured in weekend Gallup wrecks
Gallup police reported two weekend accidents causing multiple injuries. Four people from a three vehicle collision at 66 Avenue and I 40 ramp were hurt, including Alan Duke and Sherri Foster.
