Ben Het Camp Encircled In Ben Het Siege By Viet Cong
Viet Cong radio claimed a desperate siege around the Special Forces camp at Ben Het in the central highlands. U S command says two North Vietnamese regiments, about 3000 men, attack a camp garrison of 700 South Vietnamese irregulars, Green Berets and artillery. About 4500 South Vietnamese regulars operate nearby as supplies are dropped by U S planes.
