Law requires photographic ID for pawnshop customers

Ganado appoints former OSU president as interim college head

Dr. Robert MacVicar, 66, previously led Oregon State University for 15 years, was named acting president of the College of Ganado in Navajo country for six months. He praised Ganado College and the Navajo and Hopi communities, citing the institution's growing role and about 2,500 Navajo Reservation high school graduates this year.

Peace Corps trains 25 at Ganado

GANADO Ariz For the past month the College of Ganado has trained 25 Peace Corps volunteer foresters set to work in Africa on drought and deforestation projects. Training began in Fort Collins Colo moved to Ganado June 7 and will continue in Colorado before heading to four African nations in July.
