Hearings on Navajo Prep Allegations Begin Today
The Navajo tribal Education Committee will hold hearings today and Wednesday on Navajo Prepatory School after a two month probe into allegations from anonymous parents alleging sexual abuse nepotism and poor money management. The committee has subpoenaed the Navajo Prep Board of Trustees and executive director Betty O Jaye to show how the school addressed 18 recommendations including complaints handling personnel policies and stricter financial accounting. William Tso chair of the Board and Education Committee member will testify but cannot vote on committee decisions.
