The board also authorized a National Guard Armory contract for Gallup with T.A. Cole & Son as low bidder at 942,100 base, total 931,045 plus 13,799 contingency. Federal 689,325 and state 264,720 share the cost. the project may start mid July.

House Ways and Means chair Dan Rostenkowski says middle-income relief is the key issue, while Senate leaders tout differing bracket plans and ongoing discussions. The city aims to place a facility in every neighborhood to keep youth off the streets and out of trouble.
