Gallup Crash Kills 15-Year-Old Youth and Injures Six Others
A high speed collision near Marguerite and U.S. 66 in Gallup, Ariz., killed Ernest Hail, 15, of Wide Ruins and injured six others and a dog. Man Injured Here in Fire Station Incident
Gene Baker, 19, of Chicago Illinois, was found injured on the west side of the downtown fire station at 4 05 this morning. Patrolman Benny Padilla said Baker bled from the mouth and complained of internal injuries but could not provide a statement. He was taken to PHS Hospital by Sterling Star ambulance. In other police reports today a suitcase of women's clothing was stolen from a car in a motel parking lot Thursday night or early Friday with no value given.

Four 18 year old Gallup youths Gus Gomez Jr Victor Arriola Arthur Diaz and Richard Rudy Griego were bound over to district court for trial after a preliminary hearing before Judge Lidlo Rainaldi on charges including kidnapping holding a person against will and assault to commit a serious felony. The case stems from a year old Gallup girl being forced into a car near Sixth and Coal around 1 a m February 25 and returning home eight hours later reporting she had been hurt. Officers described her as heat up.
