Allegations Rise in Gallup-McKinley Sex Abuse Case

Albuquer que attorney Bruce E. Pasternack says at least 10 boys have come forward with abuse claims against Gallup-McKinley County schools staff. He expects several more lawsuits as an ongoing investigation unfolds. The civil suit alleges a pattern of abuse dating to the 1970s by teachers, administrators, and other employees, naming former Gallup High principals and coaches. See Page 2.

Man Recalls Abuse Silence Turns To Law Pursuit

Navajo Nation Convention at Roof Butte Honors AIRFA Passage

The 29th NAC Navajoland convention runs Thursday through Sunday near Beautiful Roof Butte in the Lukachu Kal Mountains. Navajo Transmission Project draws mixed views in meetings

At Tuba City Chapter House environmental manager Anthony Morton said about 80 percent of attendees support Navajo owned power line to cross the reservation, while roughly 20 percent have concerns including compensation for right of way safety health and finances.
