Gallup stage presents Dirty Work at the Crossroads melodrama
The Gallup community opens its three night run of the 1890 melodrama Dirty Work at the Crossroads at the High School Little Theatre. Nellie Love lace, Adam Oakhart and Munro Murgatroyd are the central figures with Judy Shotton as accompanist and Betty Dean, Joan Wilson and Carol Slaten in top supporting roles. One Hurt In Wreck Near Arizona New Mexico Border
Janet Wolcott a 22 year old from Los Altos California was treated and released from Zuni PHS Hospital after a one car accident 2.5 miles east of the state line on SR 53. Patrolman R L Gomez said her car topped a hill hit a herd of sheep and she swerved to avoid a collision then lost control and overturned. She was thrown from the vehicle and could have been killed if not for not wearing a seat belt. No citations were issued. Zuni police assisted in the investigation.

Firemen Contain Three Small Blazes Monday
Firemen answered three calls on Monday two brush fires and an electrical short at Gallup Printing Co. The short caused about 40 dollars damage. Brush fires occurred at Molllica Aztec and Cliff and Hill with no reported damage. Each fire burned about 20 to 30 feet square.

Marine Bomber Crashes Into Hampton Neighborhood
A Marine Corps A6 Intruder collided with a sister plane and crashed into a Buckroe Beach area housing development in Hampton Virginia killing two residents and injuring ten. Four Marines aboard survived by ejecting and were rescued from Chesapeake Bay after the 8:57 p.m. crash near Langley Air Force Base and the Fordham shopping center.

Paul Gilson El Reposo says 139 dollars were taken from a cash drawer Sunday after the cashier noticed the missing money.

FORT DEFIANCE Arizona Window Rock School District 8 board of trustees discussed a major board policy revision based on recommendations from the Citizens Committee for Better Education. They also reviewed a planned admin reorganization and options to hire a new superintendent to replace William Martin. The budget for 1966 67 was introduced by acting superintendent George Burns with a June 28 budget hearing at 11 a.m. and a total proposed budget of 2 406 639. The next regular meeting is June 27.
