Arizonan Robbed After Alley Attack in Chinle

Joseph Yazzie of Chinle Arizona reported a robbery and injury after four men attacked him in an alley near Fifth and Coal. He lost about $5 from a billfold and suffered a cut above the right eye and facial abrasions. Police also arrested five Gallup youths for a curfew violation and nearby thefts including a stolen pickup found abandoned on East Sullivan. A rock was damaged to Peggie Howes home on Church Rock with $25 to $30 damage.

Tax Bill Has Safe Margin For Passage In Congress

President Johnson’s 100 percent income tax surcharge appears to have a safe margin for passage as the House prepares a vote after a year of controversy.
