Coconino Deputies placed on paid suspension after Navajo claim
Two Coconino County Sheriff's deputies Scott Goodwin and Ron Anderson were suspended with pay pending investigation by the Arizona Department of Public Safety after Navajo Nation officials alleged they manhandled 40 year old Arlene Touchin of Window Rock during a Saturday incident. Touchin was arrested for disorderly conduct after inter ven ing while her son was cited for illegal parking. The sheriff said such accusations of prejudice are untrue. The tribe arranged for joint Navajo and DPS fact finding with two Navajo officers assisting.
