Krzymowski to perform in Carnegie Hall

Gallup physician Krzymowski performs weekend concert at Carnegie Hall after debuting at Gallup First United Methodist Church. He will play with the World Civic Orchestra in its inaugural program at Stern Auditorium. The nonprofit ensemble brings diverse musicians to break down barriers through music. Volunteers sought for weekend Enchanted Forest bike event

Bernie Dotson reports volunteers are needed for a weekend 24 hour bike event at McGaffey in the Enchanted Forest region. The Zuni Mountains Trail Partnership plans two public meetings in Gallup to discuss turning the Zuni Mountains into a regional ride center linking Gallup Grants Ramah and Zuni with hundreds of miles of trails. The first meeting runs 6 to 9 pm at the McKinley County Fire Training Center.

Silver Stallion Saloon Closes After State Order

In Gallup New Mexico the Silver Stallion on East Highway 66 is ordered shut by the state after repeated liquor violations. Benny Padilla Jr agrees to close the bar and sell the license and pay an 11000 fine to avoid prosecution under the Three Strikes law passed by Gov. Richardson in 2006. Sheep is Life Celebration kicks off in Tsaile

Kathy Helms reports the Sheep is Life Celebration begins Monday at Ding College in Tsaile with welcoming remarks by Ferlin Chark. The event runs through Sunday featuring a Youth Fiber Arts Camp on Thursday and Friday at the Dine College Land Chant Prochant Facility and includes sessions on canding, spinning, weaving and Navajo sash making for children aged 3 to 18.

Diné rangers’ trucks burglarized. Navajo police seek suspects

The Navajo Police Department asks the public for help after two tribal rangers’ pickups were burglarized on Sunday night June 13 outside Window Rock. Thieves stole two Savage rifles a Samsung cell phone an Olympus digital camera a Sony in-car video camera and a Canon EOS digital camera. Police followed footprints to Window Rock Post then lost them. All readers with information urged to call the stated number.

Man Fights Grants PD After TV Theft Incident
