The Continental Divide Co operative and nearly 40 members of the Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 611 remain apart after the co op board rejected the union’s proposal to end a 12 day strike. Two Zuni residents Brenda Chauvez aged 19 and Peter Tzu nie aged 20 died in a one vehicle crash on the New Road to Blackrock in Zuni when their pickup struck a guardrail and toppled. The driver was Ms Chauvez. two other passengers survived with serious injuries. In Albuquerque APS reached tentative contracts with maintenance and operations workers and with the Secretarial Clerical Association, leaving teachers without a deal.
