James Downing, 34, of 709 Gomez Gallup died Monday when his vehicle overturned east of the Gallup Armory on the Hogback after leaving the road while traveling eastbound at 8 15 p.m. Three passengers suffered minor injuries. Downing was pronounced dead at the scene.
