Navajo leader to request leniency for House in fatal crash
Navajo President Albert Hale plans to write a letter asking Judge James Blackmer to place Gordon House on probation and allow community service following his conviction for four counts of vehicular homicide related to the Christmas Eve 1992 crash that killed Melanie Cravens and her two daughters. Sentencing is set for July 24 in Albuquerque. max penalty 26 years.

Andrea Egger reports at the Gallup meeting the county approved Bob Bass of Thoreau as full-time project coordinator for the Regional Juvenile Detention Center.
