The Navajo Tribe's Division of Community Development reports survey results from about 200 residents in Shiprock Burnham Crownpoint and Church Rock. Navajo Ranger Dies In Drowning Rescue At Sawmill Lake

Harold Tsosie 22 and Jeffrey Yazzie 21, both from Sawmill, drowned Friday night at Sawmill Lake during a rescue attempt. Tsosie, off duty, dove in to save Yazzie who reportedly swam across the lake and cried for help. Rescue teams recovered Yazzie Saturday morning and Tsosie later.
