Fire Rages Near Page In New Mexico Wilderness Blaze
A forest fire started Monday about 20 miles south near Gallup and 5 miles southeast of McGaffey Lake burned 200 acres and remained uncontrolled Tuesday morning. Emilio Montoya said 320 firefighters battled the blaze as air tankers dropped retardant and mop up began in cooled areas. The cause is under investigation with winds monitored for spread.
