Governor appoints Lundstrom to State Transportation Authority

Lundstrom, executive director of the Northwest New Mexico Council of Governments, was appointed June 2 by Gov. Gary Johnson to serve on the New Mexico Transportation Authority through Jan. 1, 1996. The recess appointment remains until confirmed by the Senate. The authority oversees transportation projects including the Navajo Alignment Railroad, intermodal systems, a proposed Albuquerque Santa Fe bullet train, and Dona Ana port of entry linked to NAFTA. The quarterly Santa Fe meetings are set for June 19. Lundstrom credits her Transportation Development District and Regional Planning work for the appointment.
