Woman assaulted near downtown Gallup by Navajo man charged
A 71 year old woman was assaulted near the downtown walkway in Gallup. Gary R. Jackson, 51, a Navajo, NM resident, faces charges of kidnapping criminal sexual penetration aggravated battery and robbery all felonies. Police witnessed a suspect flee from a stairwell behind the El Morro Theatre, leading to a foot chase and arrest behind the Gallup chamber of commerce.
