Fire guts trailer in Williams Acres

Flames and smoke gutted a trailer at 1603 Williams Acres Street Monday after sparks from burning weeds blew under it. Outside walls remained, but interior was a total loss. Value estimated at 7000 dollars. Owner Barbara Whapple. renter had just moved out. Manuell Saenz was burning weeds nearby when the fire started.

New Northside road eyed to ease Gallup traffic by 1995

Gallup prepares a $2.4 million Jefferson Avenue extension to relieve congestion. The plan includes a 1.2 mile route crossing US 666, serving the mall and west end of Metro Avenue with two lanes and a future four‑lane option.
