The Navajo Tribal Council unanimously adopts a Juvenile Code extending jurisdiction to anyone under 18 who is delinquent or whose guardians fail to provide care. Navajo Juvenile Courts will be created in each district with a judge and probation officers empowered to remove children, and order medical or disciplinary treatment.
