Zach dedicates new post office on Navajo Nation
WINDOW ROCK Ariz Nearly 400 people attended a dedication ceremony and luncheon celebrating the completion of the Window Rock Post Office. The new 13 816 square foot building with 6 500 mail boxes serves a 70 mile radius and employs nine people. Postmaster Andrea Welch outlined plans for possible home delivery in the future as studies determine need. The event featured Navajo Code Talkers, Navajo Nation President Peterson Zach and other officials.

Warnings Issued On Hantavirus In Summer Cabins
Officials warn residents that newly opened or unused cabins and sheds can harbor Hantavirus this summer. The New Mexico Department of Health urges caution when cleaning enclosed spaces as mice may carry the virus. A 21 year old Cibola County woman contracted it after cleaning a trailer. she fell ill May 27 and recovers in Albuquerque. Prioritize airing spaces, wear an EPA approved mask and rubber gloves, disinfect with Lysol or bleach solution, and never vacuum rodent droppings.
