Paint Sniffing Brings Arrests
Four youths, Rob ert Lee 18 Gilbert Shorty 17 Melvin Chapito 13 and Stanley Lenard 18 were taken into custody for alleged paint sniffing vandalism and theft. Three were nabbed at a garage on 210 E Coal and the fourth nearby. Items valued at 250 were reported stolen from Earl DeGroat 905 E Hill. A motorcycle accident at Sixth and Aztec injured Felix Garria 15 and driver Walter Usrey Jr. 41. Usrey cited for failing to yield.

Communist Regiment Under Heavy Attack in Quang Tin Province
In Quang Tin Province near Da Nang and Hue, a veteran Communist regiment of about 4,000 faced a steady assault by over 2,000 Marines aided by air and artillery. The Reds reportedly lost 372 in the prior 24 hours as Marines advanced along a three mile ridgeline. A second 2,000-strong Marine force landed 21 miles northeast of Hue to cut infiltration routes. Air war intensified with raids north of Hanoi. two American jets were downed, totaling 569 planes lost in North Vietnam.

Three Men Hurt In Interstate 40 Crash Near Continental Divide
A two car collision 1.5 miles west of the Continental Divide on Interstate 40 left Pat Dominguez Grants Harold Moore Yuma and Edward Mason injured. Dominguez car struck a parked vehicle on the highway shoulder causing the other car to be shoved into a barrow ditch. State Policeman Fred Gifford investigated the early morning crash at about 2 a.m.
