Invalids chair found battered in Grants
A 20 year old man’s customized wheelchair was found on a Grants High School road, damaged beyond repair after a theft. The chair, marked with the initials BT, had been left outside an apartment and later seen at a car wash and in a building parking lot. The owner, Louis Silva, has been wheelchair bound for a year since a car accident. replacement could cost about 4000 dollars and Medicaid may cover it.

Domestic dispute in Grants turns bloody
Grants police responded to a domestic disturbance at 1404 Del Norte where Salvador Trejo, 52, allegedly pushed and hit his wife leaving her with a bloody nose and a swollen eye. He was arrested for battery while injuries suggested self defense. In other incidents, William Herrera, 41, was charged with DWI and leaving the scene after a car crash, and Jason Canard, 33, was charged with DWI after a midnight stop on Santa Fe. A Milan resident reported a stolen rear car window worth over 300 dollars.

Navajo Supreme Court upholds ethics board appeals ruling
