Wild West Days celebrate Fourth of July in Grants
Grants hosts Wild West Days with estimated 10 000 attendees as events run through Tuesday evening under a large tent. The schedule lists vendors, art show check in, dance teams, safety talks, cheerleaders, eating contests, candy kitchen, kids contests, a pancake breakfast, a car show setup, and a Music Masters performance at the Cibola County Complex. Grants inmates turn over a new leaf at graduation
Cathy Wright and 27 other women inmates at the New Mexico Women's Correctional Facility earned GEDs in a special graduation. Thirty inmates completed the program, with one earning an associate degree and six vocational graduates.
