Gallup inmate leaps fence on birthday escape then recaptured
Jeremy Lucero fled the Gallup McKinley County Detention Center about 11 a.m. then vanished for under a day before police officer Andrew Antone found him at the Ambassador Motel parking lot. Lucero had allegedly stabbed and robbed an 87 year old man at the motel on November 23 and stolen a .40 caliber Glock from resident Gene Bateman.
