Four nabbed in Gallup kidnap beating of jeweler Rashid
Four Denver residents were arrested in Gallup and Santa Fe after the abduction of jeweler Jim Rashid from the Sky City Casino. FBI says the motive was Rashid’s casino winnings totaling about 6.2 million. Suspects include Jesus Serrano-Cerda 33 Gilberto Lupercio Hurtado 20 Mireya Davila 19 and Efrain Reyes 32. A substantial amount of cash and weapons were recovered. Rashid escaped from the vault area to a nearby lounge and was treated for injuries. The case links to multiple hotel arrests near Historic Route 66.
