In a 15 minute session the Gallup-McKinley County School Board authorized Assistant Superintendent Sam Crow to sign the Public Law 874 fund application for the year. Superintendent Scott Childress is away. About 66.3 percent of district students are federally connected, down from over 9,000 last year due to the new Zuni School District. The district has already received advance funding and expects little more this year.
