Grand Junction Colorado helicopter pilot Mike Myers age 37 died at St Marys Hospital after a Christmas Eve crash near Monument Valley Adventist Hospital while en route to move a high risk pregnant Navajo woman to Grand Junction. Two nurses injured were Lisa Gentile and Linda Bretey. The crash occurred less than a mile north of the hospital when the chopper hit a Navajo Tribal Utility Authority power line. the patient later gave birth. Newborn was reported as safe.
