Navajo Nation ousts three chapter officials in ethics case
The Navajo Nation Council sanctioned Crownpoint Chapter President Charles Long and Tachee Blue Gap officials Loretta Tullie and Anderson Tillie, banning them from future elective office for five years after finding violations of the Ethics in Government Act. The panel said Long signed a chapter check for 1872 to Rose Silversmith to cover her car payments, a use not approved by the chapter. Silversmith resigned and agreed to monthly repayments. The Tullies were found to have spent chapter funds without approval.
